Artefact 3 – Evaluation

The overall design of this artefact I felt was useful and is focused on what I intend to achieve because this artefact is influenced by 3d sound and this is what my question is based on. The previous artefacts have helped shape this artefact having gained insight into what my audience want’s and I fell this artefact caters towards that.

I felt that the video of this this artefact is in standard definition and would ultimately be aiming to implement a full 3d package with 3d sound and video which would have made the artefact more complete. I feel this would be a change I would implement in future experiments. The production of the binaural sound came out the way I intended but hope for a higher production quality that would make it more rounded experience for the target audience.

I was happy with the material I chose to conduct this experiment because not having the full 3d technology using a binaural sound technique allowed me to showcase the potential of a full 3d video package based around sports broadcasting and would look to do this following this successful experiment.

In future experiment I feel adjustments can be made to the quality of the video and will look to do this by creating a 3D image video incorporating the strengths of this experiment with the 3d video

I felt this experiment pushes the audience perception on how sports broadcasting will be moving towards in the present and near future. Because it showcases new technologies that can change the way people watch sports broadcasts.

I felt the solution I used for 3d sound was adequate as it is a way to produce 3d sound. Using binaural techniques is limited I feel and would look to progress this to a more professional 3d sound in future experiment. The limitation of this technique is the audience has to wear headphones to get a 3d effect and would look to progress to using a 5.1 surround sound systems to showcase what 3d sound has to offer fully.

In my opinion the response I used for this experiment was right as it allowed me to move into 3d sound by learning different techniques to produce it. It gives foundation to my understanding of how 3d sound is produced and would look to further this knowledge by experimenting with alternative sound application.

I felt overall the experiment was a susses and from this build on the experiment to give a professional look, feel and sound to a highlighted package with these elements which is the ultimate goal.
